Hi everybody and welcome to my blog. As you can probably guess from the title its going to be about saxophones, its players and the music they make.
I have played sax now for over 30 years and been teaching it for the last 6 years. I play lead alto with Brass, wind and fire, a local big band in the Kibworth area. I also enjoy playing in sax ensembles around the area.
Most of my time is playing alto as this is the most common instrument for beginners, but my favourites are tenor and baritone.
I have a Yanagisawa curved soprano, a 1926 Conn 'Chu Berry' alto, a Yanagisawa 800 series tenor, and a John Packer Baritone and a 1922 Conn C Melody. I also play clarinet and a little bit of flute.
